About the Director, Writer, Artist, Animator, Composer:
Moyche Litchtenstein
Years ago Moyche attended the Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop sponsored by BMI in Manhattan. The workshop, taught by composer and lyricist Skip Kennon, afforded an intimate classroom experience, and a close association with many gifted composers and lyricists. These early encounters later served as an inspiration and springboard for much of the work found in this video book.
This project evolved over several years, with the author composing many short, whimsical poems for his children and friends over a number of months. Later, illustrations were drawn, first on paper, and then transferred to a digital medium. Music, songs and sound effects followed. Jonathan Sherr contributed his amazing vocal talents to bring all the poems and stories to life. Finally the entire work, complete with illustrations, instrumental compositions, songs, stop-frame animations and sound effects was produced in collaboration with film editor Ben Hosking, and music/sound producer Jim Abdo, of Broken Works Productions, both of whom made invaluable contributions to this work.
Moyche Litchtenstein lives on the west coast with his family. He enjoys all forms of music, especially vintage jazz from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's.
