The Bangkok Job

A washed-up hitman and a safecracker on the run are the unlikely team hired to assassinate one of the most powerful gangsters in all of Asia —The Beast of Bangkok (he's called that because no one can pronounce his real name).

You don't sleep with another man's wife, rip off The Boss, fix horse races, fall in love with someone you shouldn't have fallen in love with, go on suicide missions, trust scumbags to sell you decent guns or work in a hair salon in the back-end of Bangkok without there being some sort of payback. Just ask Bernie Gold and Frank Green.

Directed by Clive Saunders and starring Ben Feitelson and Leanna Chea, The Bangkok Job takes you on a journey through the underbelly of Asia's sinniest of sin cities where you meet people you'd normally cross the road to avoid, visit places you otherwise wouldn't be caught dead in, and do things that are seriously not advisable.

Director Biography - clive saunders

Clive Saunders was born and raised in London. He started on the London fringe producing and acting in plays such as 'True West' by Sam Shepard and 'The Dream Coast' by John Steppling.

In 1993 he wrote, acted and produced 'Scenes From The Buried Life' a portmanteau of Charles Bukowski short stories adapted from 'South of No North' which transferred from London to Los Angeles.

In 1997 he wrote his first play, 'Fishtank', which he directed and was produced at the Finborough Theatre in London. It was a dark comedy about the lives, loves and struggles of a bunch of drug dependent, nocturnal mini-cab drivers (prototype Uber drivers) in North West London in 1983.

In 1998 he adapted 'Love for $17.50' from a Charles Bukowski short story and shot it on the streets of Los Angeles guerilla-style and it played at the Egyptian theatre for the American Cinematheque short film series.

Saunders co-wrote and directed the feature film 'Gacy' in 2002 released worldwide by Lionsgate.

In 2016 Clive returned to filmmaking by acting and producing the experimental feature 'Dancing Day' and the short documentary 'The Last Schvitz' before producing and directing the feature film 'The Bangkok Job'.

This is the first film I ever made that I had 100% creative control over. It's the purest expression of my vision so far.
