A group of artists who explore their cathartic expressions through acts of blood drinking, self-mutilation, and other forms of paraphilia. This documentary takes an in-depth look at this groups body of work, as well as conducts detailed interviews with group members to understand the inspirations and motivations behind the art that is "White Gardenia".

Jonathan Doe is an American filmmaker, YouTuber, podcaster, and photographer. He founded the production company Putrid Productions in 2018, which encompasses his distribution label Vile Video Productions, his YouTube channels Cinemas Underbelly and Murderabilia Show & Tell, and his podcast the Uneasy Terrain Explorers Club. Doe has built a reputation for his extensive collecting and conservation of lost, forgotten, and controversial media; as well as true crime artifacts. Between 2021 and 2022 Doe produced and directed the fetish-gore trilogy Erotic Grotesque Nonsense, consisting of Barf Bunny, The Degenerates, and Defilement of a Porcelain Doll. In 2023 Doe would begin working within the genre of documentaries, with his films The Art of Self-Harm and If Trees Could Talk: A Conversation with Terry Hobbs.
