THE ARMCHAIR TRAVELLERS
The Armchair Travellers is a genre-defying cinematic journey—blending sci-fi, historical literature, rom-com warmth, and fearless adventure. In a world where books come alive, the most extraordinary story is not found between the covers – but between the lines.
Four unmarried women are thrust into a reality where literature is no longer an escape but a minefield. Their quiet lives—shaped by work, friendship, and the fragile hope of something more—are upended by an extraordinary chair that can transport them into the worlds of the books they love.
Katherine longs for a romance worthy of Jane Austen, but the factory floor offers no Mr Darcy, only grit and misogyny. Within the chair's embrace, she lives her own Regency romance—complete with mishaps, mayhem, and a hero too perfect to be real. But every story must end.
Her friends have their own objectives. Charlotte's journey to selflessly help a friend takes her into a turbulent chapter of history, where others' sacrifices shape every choice.
Jane, haunted by a buried secret, must confront the one thing she has fled her entire life, even if it demands the ultimate price. Maria, wary and unyielding, senses danger from the start. After one harrowing encounter with the Chair, she vows to protect her friends from the wild magic of the Chair that obeys its own rules.
What begins as a miraculous gift becomes a test of human desire. Love and loss, ambition and regret, courage and triumph -- all play out across worlds beyond the written word. As the women chase their deepest wishes, they discover that dreams can come true, but only some of them come without a price.

Artist Selected
After beginning her journalism career, Patricia was recruited by Fries Entertainment, founded by legendary producer Charles Fries. Working alongside Alan Sacks, she developed a comprehensive knowledge of television and film production.
She was instrumental in the revival and development of Harvey Comics' intellectual property, which contributed to the company’s successful IPO. Specifically, she helped bring Casper the Friendly Ghost to the big screen.
Patricia has transitioned back into feature film development and production with a clear intent to create original, intellectual-property-driven storytelling.
She formed Doodleflix Entertainment to produce high-quality creative content intended to have an impact at release and an enduring commercial life across streaming, television, and digital windows.
Currently, Patricia’s slate includes a multi-award-winning screenplay, The Armchair Travellers, built for theatrical release; an animated feature, Big Dog's Adventures in Believeland; and The Diary’s Tale, based on the book The Boy Who Saw True.
Our Commitment to Women in Film
THE ARMCHAIR TRAVELLERS
The thrilling twists and turns of The Armchair Travellers illuminate the quiet strength of women—strength born not from spectacle, but from grace, resolve, and the sacrifices they carry with unwavering dignity. Their determination becomes the invisible architecture holding families, communities, and histories together.
This story stands as a bold affirmation that women's experiences —struggles, triumphs, beauty, depth, and unmatched complexity—deserve the full brilliance of the spotlight.
By placing women firmly at the forefront, we honour the formidable forces they represent and offer a platform where their voices resonate not only with women but also this cinematic marvel carves an unprecedented path through four groundbreaking story arcs and a high-concept narrative delivered with striking ingenuity. It is a thunderous declaration that elevating women's opportunities and perspectives on the world stage is not only overdue but also transformative. The film ignites a universal human experience, bringing profound, resonant meaning to audiences of every age, background, and walk of life.
