The Anniversary

The main character is celebrating her wedding anniversary. Glasses are filled with wine, and festive plates are filled with stew. This is the first anniversary without a loved one - the joint dinner was prevented by the war. A woman keeps the memory of her husband in memories - the only precious things that have survived.

Головна героїня святкує річницю весілля. Келихи наповнюються вином, а святкові тарілки - тушонкою. Це перший ювілей без коханого- спільній вечері завадила війна. Жінка зберігає пам’ять про свого чоловіка у спогадах- єдиних дорогоцінних речах, що вціліли.

Director Biography - Anna Honcharova

Anna Honcharova - young Ukrainian film director, composer and scriptwriter. She was born on August 5, 2003 in Kyiv. After graduating from school in 2021 she entered Kyiv National I.K Karpenko-Kary University of Theater, Cinema and Television at the faculty of feature film directing in the workshop of Mykhailo Illienko. After the Russian Invasion in 2022 she shot her debut short film named "The Anniversary" which refering to the theme of a woman in war.
