The Abnormal
After her best friend's suicide, Liz (a young girl abandoned since childhood) grapples with her grief while trying to carry on with her everyday life. She navigates high school, where she simultaneously studies, lives, and works. Lorena and Sofia (the popular girls and classmates) bully and harass her because of her situation of having to earn a living. Liz is singled out for being different, for being "weird," for being "less," for being "abnormal."

The blaming of victims and the covering up of perpetrators is a prevalent issue in our society. Visualizing a fraction of what victims truly experience by putting ourselves in their shoes can raise awareness among us as individuals, prompting us to understand and take action rather than simply pointing fingers or, worse yet, turning a blind eye and carrying on as if nothing is happening.
