The 50th Anniversary of Skylab: America's First Space Station chronicles NASA's efforts beginning in 1973 to create a permanent space station in low Earth orbit. Three separate Skylab missions successfully completed hundreds of experiments, set space endurance records and paved the way for the International Space Station.
