Based in Hastings, Nebraska, Landon Boettcher (LAN-den BET-CH-er) is an actor, writer, and director with a strong foundation in both stage and film. A graduate of Franklin High School, they earned multiple awards for acting, including Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, before continuing their studies in film at Wayne State College.
Their creative work includes writing and directing the short film Dancing in the Moonlight (2023) and directing The Panic at the Disco (2021). On stage, they have taken on leading roles such as the protagonist in The Trial of Existence and Mr. Beaver in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
In addition to formal training, Boettcher has developed skills in stage combat and continues to refine their craft through performance and storytelling. Their passion for acting extends into everyday life, bringing characters to life through expressive reading and a deep commitment to authentic performance.
I wanted to do a comedic, horror piece that’s just too goofy and a way to get me back into filmmaking after a while away. This seemed like the perfect project to do such a thing.
