About Mother

A semi-musical film that introduces Indonesia from a musical approach and is packaged in a story. About a child who lives in Ambon named Faiz who was raised by his mother. And about 3 mothers: biological mother, mother earth and mother earth. At his age, Faiz wants to find his father to make his mother happy and all he has is his mother's father's wedding photo, and a traditional piece of cloth belonging to his father. His journey started from Ambon to Sumatra, and had to stop in Kalimantan because his expenses were limited. In Kalimantan, he plays with local children making toys with the song AMPAR AMPAR PISANG which tells the story of children's toys. And once he was helped by the local community to get a ticket to Sumatra, he continued his journey to the song KAMPUANG NAN JAUH DIMATO, which is in BUKIT TINGGI, where his mother and father were married, and told stories about a village far away. On someone's guidance he continued his search in Central Java, and met two women who worked as traveling dancers with the song LIR ILIR. With the money given by Diaz's mother, and on the instructions of others for the cloth he was holding, he continued his father's search to Papua and there he was accidentally involved in a war over land which is the meaning of the song YAMKO RAMBE YAMKO. Tired of the endless search, and finally decided to return to Ambon to his mother's lap with the song SIO MAMA.
