Tedious Days and Nights

After living as a drifting poet for 30 years, Dekuang Zeng went back to his birthplace, Coal Dam. Coal Dam was built on a large state-run coal mine; after the close-down, the once prosperous city turns into almost a ghost city. Zeng returns to the starting point of life; he roams different places, old barbershops, dance halls, prostitution streets, and building ruins. As he drifts further, the line between reality and fragmental memories gets blurry. Two poet friends Lu He and Dangsheng Guan came to visit him. They wander together among the debris. In aimless wandering and personal memories, a hidden historical wound is presented. 32 years ago, as a student leader, his life changed greatly because of his participation in the democratic movement in1989.
