Against a narrated description of the history of the wild west, two brothers, Ilya and Kostya, meet in a small American town. Kostya has just got his pot of gold in the silicon valley and cannot believe his own luck. His simple technical idea has landed him with several hundred million dollars, and he is now less than 30 and incredibly wealthy! He chides his older brother for his wrong career choice, and Ilya cannot help feeling conflicted and almost jealous of his younger brother whose success is unimaginable.
TechNous" tries to capture the philosophical underside of the information revolution even as it traces the boom and bust of the dot com era. This is not a defining portrait of a young man caught in the gold rush of the silicon valley boom years. The story aims to evoke the philosophical underpinnings of the whirlwind that arose in the silicon valley. This story is about sibling rivalry in the excitement involved with accomplishing anything in this environment.
