Private Project

Tease

Tease is an almost-erotic micro short experimental animation exploring anticipation. True to its theme, no conclusions or climaxes are reached.

Tease is an experiment by a young queer woman film-maker to push the bounds of how sex and sexy are treated in film.

Director Biography - Oona Taper

Oona Taper is a multimedia artist and experimental animator with a cohesive artistic practice that spans two-dimensional works, videos and installations.

She grew up in Bozeman MT before attending school at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. In Boston, she studied sociocultural anthropology and fine art. After Graduation she moved to Philadelphia where she continued to make short films as well as expanding her printmaking practice.

Her style is both whimsical and chaotic, utilizing distorted but recognizable figures, a strong use of sound and a mixed media approach to address themes of intimacy, technology, physical space and subjective experiences.

Her short films have been screened at national and international film festivals, including the IVY Film Festival in Providence RI and Locomoción an Experimental Animation Festival in Mexico City. Her video installations and works on paper have been shown in galleries in both Boston and Philadelphia.
