Tayler Gladue is an award-winning film maker, producer and writer located in Calgary
Alberta, Canada.
While growing up in Calgary he attended fine arts schools, which initially sparked his
passion for the arts from an early age. He followed that passion becoming a musician, artist,
actor and even a world recognized chef. Opening his first restaurant in Europe by the age of
32.
He has a powerful belief that stories could not only connect us, but help better the world
overall, and so he began his career in Film to tell these stories. He then Attended and
graduated with honours from the Film and Video Production course, at Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology.
Currently he the host and producer of a podcast entitled “The Artsy Dudes”. A podcast
revolving around local music, art, film, and theatre in Alberta Canada. The podcast brings
artists from different disciplines together, to discuss their mutual passions for their craft.
Other projects he is working on consist of a feature documentary focusing on his re-
discovery and reconnection to his indigenous roots. Furthermore, he is working on a short
comedy musical that he is writing, directing and composing the music for. He has taken
pride in the fact it is being developed with completely independent artist in Calgary. He also
is working on a diverse array of theatre projects and other feature films.
Being a member of the LGBTQ2+ and the BIPOC community, representation in storytelling
is a primary focus and driving force behind his productions.
The first film that he produced became a success and was written and directed by a young
women director. His second film became an award-winning short documentary, winning
best documentary at the Edmonton short film festival in 2023. The documentary focussed on
the struggles of the Venezuelan community in the early 2000, and their journey to find a new
home in Alberta.
