Being the type of person who has a burning curiosity for all things in life and who yearns deeply to understand it all, film and television has fuelled my inquisitive spirit by encouraging a creative and conceptual outlook on life.
My name is Tashlyn Chetty and I currently live in Gothenburg, Sweden. Academically, I am a Film and Television Honours Graduate and have recently completed a short experimental film in Gothenburg, Sweden. I work in the capacity of a director, writer, editor, graphic designer and digital media creative. Currently I work as a Sales Representative at Oxfam Sweden whilst completing my Masters in Gendering practices at Gothenburg University.
I have evoked a greater appreciation for the power of film as an artistic practice. Film is a powerful tool for storytelling, whether it be fact, fiction or blurred in-between. There is an array of themes and techniques that can be explored and expressed using film as an art form. As a filmmaker, I place the utmost importance on the process of making a film and choosing a medium or technique that best conveys the message.
I am always learning throughout my experiences. My projects include short experimental films, design and commercial videos.
“A poet is someone who can use a single image to send a universal message.”
