Director Statement

Do you remember those special days in your childhood when you were allowed to stay up late as an exception? Because a special day meant special rules. On the island of Föhr, St. Thomas' Day on December 21 is such a special day for children.

With our short documentary film, we want to tell you about a unique and peculiar custom that children look forward to every year and that adults talk about with a smile. In the end, it connects them all, even those who simply wonder where their trash can has gone.
