Director Statement

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved fantasy so much that she read about it, drew about it, wrote about it and above all, watched movies about it. She dreamed that someday, she would be just as cool and tough as the heroines she read about and watched on Tv. She was most entranced by intricate costumes and grand sets from the movies because even though it was all pretend, they always made it feel so real. When a princess with wild hair and a bow and arrow took to the cinemas, the little girl made bows from sticks and rubber bands in the school yard, much to the teachers’ disapproval.

Fast forward through years, the little girl grew up and decided she would like to make the stories she imagined come true. She learnt lot of new skills like how to write stories for the screen. And with these skills, she could bring the characters she used to draw to life. Tales of the Hunted was inspired by all things fantastical, mysterious and, of course, action packed. Here is an ode to the fantasy genre, its reluctant hero, the scary creatures, a mysterious McGuffin, and the fate of the world weighing down on the protagonist's shoulders. After all, making a film is simply playing make-believe and dress up, you can make it whatever you want.

And so as it turns out, lots of little girls and boys had the same fantasy dream that the girl did, and with them, they brought lots of amazing talents and skills. They put their heads together with one big goal of making a really cool fantasy film! With loads of fight scenes, special effects, magic and even a short animation. With many special thanks, all of the talented people made the little girl’s dream come true.

The end.
