In addition to her creative work, Kammy serves on the executive board of Delta Kappa Alpha, the professional cinematic society’s Upsilon Chapter, where she continues to build community and support fellow filmmakers.
Take Me To Jail, Please? is a dark comedy born from my offbeat sense of humor and a desire to find levity in uncomfortable places. It follows an extreme introvert whose plan to escape society spirals into absurdity when he tries to land himself in prison—on purpose.
I wanted to ground this wild premise in a cinematic world that feels real, letting the humor come from the contrast between the ridiculous and the mundane. Strong character dynamics were key to balancing tone, allowing audiences to laugh at the inappropriateness of it all—and maybe see something human in the madness.
