Director Biography - Karina Ramos Villalobos, James DeLeon

Karina is a passionate multimedia storyteller. She's from the beautiful land of the hidden Kumeyaay or as you may know it Escondido. There, she grew a love for writing and listening to people’s stories.

James, was born and raised in the Inland Empire. Since a kid, his passions have always been film related. He knew since he was young that his career goal is to become a filmmaker. His passion stems from late nights watching tv and movies with his family.

Both, Karina and James, are aspiring filmmakers aiming to break through barriers to tell underrepresented stories. They want to work in creating inclusive media centered around topics of race, class, gender, sexuailty and identity. Their career goal is to tell authentic stories that reflect the beauty, struggles, and joys of diverse communities.
