🍂 THE STORY — Arthur’s First Toast Set in a rustic log cabin on the banks of the Hudson River, the story follows Arthur, a 72-year-old first-generation Yugoslavian-American patriarch. This marks the second Thanksgiving since Arthur lost his beloved wife to cancer, leaving him to host the holiday dinner for his two grown daughters alone.
Known for his "sharp knife, safe knife" philosophy and his deep, gravelly wisdom, Arthur turns the carving of the turkey into a lesson on patience, anatomy, and tradition. The film transitions from a high-intensity culinary POV—capturing the ASMR textures of crispy skin and carving steel—to a quiet "Magic Hour" finale by the river.
There, amidst the falling aspen leaves of late November, Arthur and his daughters answer the family’s hardest question: "What was the best thing and worst thing that happened this year?"

This film features an impossible camera shot in the opening scene as the camera flies into the house and though a wall to stop in the back of an oven cooking the turkey then the camera does another impossible shot for a traditional camera moving between the lower and upper oven with a high speed cooking sequence instantly cooking the yams in the oven.
This was a community service project for good will. I could have replaced the voice consistently but opted to go with the default voice as this was unpaid and created two days before Thanksgiving 2025 using 100% Ai generated video.
