Director Statement

'Tomorrow island' is a bleak dramatic love story with a tragic ending. It deals with the acceptance of the sexual identity in
order to embrace love as the ultimate way to get security. There is a sense of union at the ending that dignifies the main
character and justifies the her dead, because she has gone through a journey from inner duality to self acceptance.
'Tomorrow island' is honest at all times. It is always in contact with characters’ emotions in the most human way possible to
achieve the right balance between the realistic beginning and the emotional ending. It progressively immerses the audience
in Sveta’s harsh feel of loss, which results in her realizing who she truly is. The recognition comes with acceptance, taking
Sveta to her end but also leading her to the needed reunion with her lover. 'Tomorrow island' is a personal story that
becomes a metaphor of a larger situation.
