Arda is a young man confined to a wheelchair, living between two worlds: the joyful voices of children playing outside and the harsh reality inside his home. An alcoholic and aggressive father, a silently enduring mother, and an older brother burdened with responsibility shape his daily life.
As the day unfolds, tension grows and neglect turns into emotional violence. A seemingly small incident triggers a powerful confrontation that exposes the family’s buried conflicts.

Director Biography - BAHADIR HEKİM

Bahadır Hekim and Çağın Avşar are two close friends with prior experience as actors in films and television series. This short film marks their first directorial work, transitioning from in front of the camera to behind it.

Drawing on their acting background, they bring a strong sense of realism, character depth, and emotional authenticity to their storytelling. This debut short film represents the beginning of their cinematic journey, focusing on human relationships, family conflict, and socially sensitive themes.

Director Statement

This film was shaped by my desire to explore the quiet struggles that often remain unseen. Growing up and observing real life, I realized that pain is not always loud—sometimes it exists in silence, neglect, and emotional distance.

Coming from an acting background, I wanted to approach this story with honesty and restraint. Rather than exaggerating drama, I focused on small, ordinary moments that reveal deeper emotional truths. The camera stays close to the characters, allowing the audience to experience their world without judgment.

Cinema, for me, is a way to create empathy and awareness. Through this film, I aimed to reflect how social and emotional barriers can be as limiting as physical ones, especially for vulnerable individuals. This work represents the beginning of my journey as a filmmaker, grounded in realism, human connection, and social sensitivity.
