Clara Tomaz is an Italian-American film-maker focusing on themes of POV and human relationships that are rendered in an oneiric and visionary style. Professional video producer by day and visual artist by night, Tomaz is an authentic indie film-maker whose only purpose is to bring epiphany to the audience whose emotions resonate with her creative work.
Tomaz was born in Milan, Italy; received a MFA in Electronic Arts from RPI, New York, and has been working as a video producer in Chicago for the last 8 years.
THE WHITE BOX comes from a very personal experience and expands to universal themes of life, death, loss, acceptance, hope and legacy. For such intimate themes I chose a symbolic and oneiric approach the audience is invited to add their own experiences to. THE WHITE BOX tells a story but it also leaves space for the audience to elaborate and keep thinking. It's possible you'll want to watch and re-watch it several times discovering something new about yourself at every replay.
