LE PASSAGE

Le Passage est un projet qui s'est étalé sur plus de trois années.
Ce deuxième court métrage explore une fois de plus les différentes possibilités des effets spéciaux, tout en gardant une base bien réelle.
En effet le découpage de chaque plan est pensé en amont afin d'éviter un maximum de travail inutile.
C'est pour cette raison que le projet s'est étalé sur plusieurs années. Murir et baliser clairement le projet en amont a été indispensable pour ne pas se laisser emporter par les possibilités quasi-inépuisables d'un tel projet.
Le tournage des personnages se fait donc par la suite en suivant précisément le découpage et en imaginant les directions de lumières qui composeront le film une fois terminé.
Vient ensuite une longue période de retouches et de recherches afin de trouver le style visuel souhaité mais aussi réalisable.
A notre niveau, certaines choses ne sont pas toujours possibles pour des questions techniques.
Mais une chose est sûre, tourner en réel de nuit sur un canal était tout bonnement impossible avec une équipe technique réduite à deux personnes : nous.
Et pourtant, nous sommes parvenus à trouver l'équilibre qui nous a permis d'aller au bout de cette aventure et ainsi donner vie à l'univers que nous imaginions.

The Passage is a project that has spanned more than three years.
This second short film explores once again the different possibilities of the special effects, while keeping a real base.
Indeed the division of each plan is thought upstream to avoid a maximum of unnecessary work.
It is for this reason that the project has been spread over several years. Think and clearly mark the project upstream was essential to not get carried away by the almost inexhaustible possibilities of such a project.
The shooting of the characters is then done by following exactly the cutting and imagining the directions of lights that will compose the film once completed.
Then comes a long period of retouching and research to find the desired visual style but also achievable.
At our level, some things are not always possible for technical issues.
But one thing is certain, shooting in real night on a canal was simply impossible with a technical team reduced to two people: us.
And yet, we managed to find the balance that allowed us to go to the end of this adventure and thus give life to the universe we imagined.
