Director Statement

This is a very personal film for me. At the age of 15 years my parents dragged me out of my beloved North of England to live in the Cotswold countryside where I had no friends and didn't know anybody and nobody wanted to know me! I spent hours, day after day, wandering on Belas Knap (The Mound) which became my friend but also kept me from making friends. It has fascinated and frightened me all my life, hence this movie.
