Joshua Mueller is a self-taught director, cinematographer, and editor from Frankfurt, Germany. His no-budget short CLOCKING OUT gained unexpected international success, winning multiple awards in Los Angeles.
Joshua focuses on emotional, character-driven stories and collaborates closely with local talent. He is currently directing THE BOY & THE WOLF, part of a series of short films that will later form a feature.
The Boy & The Wolf is a story about the quiet kind of fear we first feel as kids — when the world is bigger, darker, and full of things we don’t yet understand.
I wanted to capture that mix of innocence and unease: warm memories on the surface, something unsettling underneath.
Made with a small local team and a lot of heart, the film is part of a series of shorts that will one day form a feature.
At its core, it’s about where fear begins — and where courage does too.
