THE BALLAD OF TRASIMENO

The protagonist (Massimiliano Varrese) is an undercover policeman who is discovered by the underworld. The deputy commissioner (Antonio Ballarano) organizes the protection program, changes his name to Roberto Giansoni (recalling a Robert Johnson bluesman of the early twentieth century) and hides him in Umbria from a trusted contact. The contact is Renzo (Mirko Revoyera) a fisherman from Lake Trasimeno, who welcomes him under his wing and teaches him how to fish. Roberto is initially grumpy, also because he comes from a city background and has frequented the slums of society, but then, thanks to his new mentor, he opens up and calms down to the magnificence of nature and the rural environment. Jart (Fabrizio Martin), a bluesman guitarist, prophetically introduces him to the Trasimeno Blues and there Roberto meets Giulia (Arianna Fiandrini), photographer of the Festival. These two new friendships open him up to simple and natural sociability, leading him to rediscover himself. Will Roberto return to his old job in the corporate slums?
