A passionate and energetic producer/director/dp/editor based in Los Angeles. Matthew has produced, shot and edited numerous short films, commercials, pilots and promos. This is his narrative short film directing debut. He is the co-owner of newly formed production company, Radius Pictures, and is also co-partner at Sky Media Entertainment.
THE AXE AND THE IRON is a fun, 10-minute short that just so happens to fit in pretty nicely with the current situation in the world, though we shot it months ago! When I read this script, I immediately fell in love with these characters and needed to watch them come to life. I had also been looking for a project where I could experiment with dark, moody lighting and dilapidated set pieces, and I loved the challenge of having that brooding backdrop set against the comedic elements. It brought me so much joy to be able to tell this exciting chapter of their story.
