I believe that if we don't believe in something, we become so anxious that we don't know where we stand. Whether it is family, work, ideology, religion, or dreams, it depends on the person. Belief, however, is also fraught with danger.
What to believe in, what to believe in, what is true, what is false, what is good, what is evil, what is hypocritical? The moment we are betrayed by what we believe, we are in danger of hating our own standards of judgment and denying ourselves. It makes me want to doubt everything.
I think that the fact that I have lost my sense of reality now is connected to the fact that I doubt everything. I am sure that is what it means to change the world.
I feel that the world has been transformed by the worldwide epidemic, as if the world before and the world after are not continuous. On the streets, everyone wears masks, disinfectants are placed in every facility, social networking sites are full of false rumors, and the demand to open the distance between people is also upsetting the distance between people's hearts. The declaration of a state of emergency has become a stagnant memory, and we all live in a corner of our minds wondering how long we will be like this, oblivious to the damage that has been done to our hearts.
Not only individuals, but also international exchanges have been drastically reduced, major powers are blaming each other, ideological conflicts are resurfacing, and international organizations are losing credibility. Every day I feel that something is beginning to smolder, with sparks of riots and conflicts occurring all over the world.
We are now surrounded by stories that were created before the Corona disaster, or new forms of remote filming and distribution, and we are uncomfortably aware that reality is surpassing fiction.
In these times, I believe that there is something that I can express with this work, "ENJA(THEATRICS)".
