Director Biography - Robert Crowley Smith

Tattoo Artist turned filmmaker, Robert Smith has been a creative for 20 years. After designing creative artistry through tattooing, he decided to change canvas and go to the big screen with his productions. His technical skills have allowed him to dive into cinematography, sound design and post production with his production company, MARKD Productions, alongside his business partners.

There's beauty in the everyday, mundane... and it's my passion to reveal it to the world.

Having become close with the Huhn family over the last year, I decided to tell the story about their journey through a detached but empathetical perspective. My goal was to delve into the interviews and capture the honest and rawness of each of them about their trip across Canada. What was clear and the basis of the film is how this journey changed a young adult as she ventured out into the world, discovering some truths about life as a Teen Across Canada
