Syn-biosis

In a timeless place, a tree stands as a living creature, born from the fusion of many trees and the souls that have become one within them. Many will reach the awareness that, sooner or later, they too will merge with it, leaving behind what is earthly in a gesture of rebirth and return to nature.
The movie reflects on the relationship between life, death, and nature, transforming the end into an act of fusion and regeneration. The tree becomes a metaphor for continuity: what dies does not disappear, but transforms into a new collective dimension.
Through a poetic, minimal, and symbolic visual language, the film invites the viewer to meditate on human fragility and the need to reconcile with the natural world.

Director Biography - Alex D'Antona

Alex D’Antona (Taranto, 19 maggio 1987) è un regista, sceneggiatore e attore attivo nel panorama del cinema indipendente italiano. Laureato in Discipline dell’Audiovisivo, della Musica e dello Spettacolo presso il DAMS di Bari nel 2025, ha avviato il suo percorso artistico a teatro nel 2014 con la compagnia “Tuttinscena - Cultura & Spettacolo”, dove ha sperimentato ruoli e generi molto diversi, passando con disinvoltura dal drammatico al comico. Debutta nel cinema nel 2016 interpretando un ruolo grottesco nel film Haunted prodotto da Funny Dreamers Production, con cui inizia una lunga collaborazione che lo porterà anche su Clownery. Parallelamente entra nel circuito della L/D Production Company prendendo parte a progetti internazionali come The Last Heroes, Caleb e Hidden – Verità Sepolte. Il suo esordio alla regia arriva nel 2021 con Applausi, un cortometraggio contro l’omobitransfobia nato in collaborazione con Fabiano Tagarelli, in risposta all’affossamento del DDL Zan. Nel 2022 fonda PAf! Production, collettivo creativo informale, e nel 2023 realizza il suo primo lungometraggio a zero budget, con soli 9000,00 €, A Haunting in Council House, prodotto da V Channels Media con Funny Dreamers. Segue Trick or Treat, secondo lungo sempre prodotto dallo stesso team e stesso budget.
