Renee Chandler, but most people call her ‘NaeNae’ is born & raised on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. At an early age, she had a love for the musical arts from being taught by her grandmother to play the piano, guitar lessons from her mother and playing saxophone in middle school. But NaeNae’s passion for drawing, media, writing and technology began to grow as she entered high school. As a Ben Davis High School graduate, NaeNae had gained experience in graphics, photography and web development (being able to write HTML code).
Before receiving her schooling at the Art Institute Of Pittsburgh for Interactive Media and Web Design, NaeNae is self-taught in a lot of software programs and as well as having technical experience. Even after college she continues to study and learn in this forever changing multimedia world.
While working in Corporate America, NaeNae also did freelance jobs to build up her portfolio. With over 10 years experience her skill set ranges from animation, cinematography, graphic design, photography, screenwriting, videography and app & web development. So in November of 2016, NaeNae took a step out on faith and started her own multimedia/production company called Chasing My Dreamz. With only being in business for a little over 2 years, NaeNae has been fortunate enough to work with some major and local artists in the entertainment industry.
A few of NaeNae’s biggest inspirations are Issa, Shonda & Ava, so in 2018, she directed three short films: ‘The Booth’, ‘Swipe Left’ (which she also wrote) and ‘Nothing Ass Conversations’. Going forward within her company, NaeNae wants to focus more on writing, producing and directing not only her projects but also help others bring their visions to life either on the small or big screen.
My motto is: ‘As Long As I’m Breathing, I’m Chasing My Dreamz’
