Swimming in the Dark

In the style of Taiwanese new wave film, a story about unrequited love between two high school lesbians.
Wen and Ann are best friends in high school swimming team.
In the midst of summer, as Wen spends more hours in the pool training for the upcoming competition, she and Ann becomes estranged.
Years later, Ann relies that summer is when Wen loves her the most.

Director Statement

1993年生於台北，台北藝術大學電影創作導演組研究所。
題材多以女性、同志為主，善於捕捉流動情感，並將其化為影像美學。

"Pin Ru Chen was born in 1993 in Taipei, Taiwan. She earned her master's degree in Directing of Filmmaking at National Taipei University of the Arts.
Her themes are mostly female and lesbian love, and she is good at capturing flow-of-emotion and turning into aesthetic videos."
