Director Biography - Doug Hawley

Doug Hawley grew up in Ohio and attended The University of Toledo, majoring in film studies. For the past 15 years he has been living in Los Angeles with his partner, Jennifer, and their dog, Ludo. His recent credits include the multi-award winning short horror/comedy, "Cursed World Problems" and the action/comedy "Alamo Downs" starring Todd Lowe (True Blood, Gilmore Girls).

I wanted to let people know about a holiday that no one outside the Midwest knows about, Sweetest Day. And what better way than a horror movie? I also wanted to show how someone coping with PTSD and racism deals with it and tries to overcome.
