Director Statement

My mom met Susan in Bible Study eight years ago and became instant friends with her. Susan and Leslie have been a part of our family for years now, coming to family dinners, weddings, and Christmas celebrations. Since I met them, I have been so inspired by the way they live their lives together. They each see the world in such a beautiful and unique way, and help each other navigate things made without them in mind with such grace and respect for one another. They make a great team. Making this documentary in my hometown of Little Rock was one of the great joys of my filmmaking career so far, and the process of creating it has given me a newfound respect for my friends and two people I look up to greatly, Susan and Leslie.
