Surrender To It
As the UK emerges from lockdown, recovering drug addict Timmy Lawler is now ready to share the secret he's been keeping from his friends for over a decade.” To set the stage for his shocking reveal, Timmy invites his old drama club friends to meet him on the Welsh English border, the location of the mysterious 'Devil's Bridge', a landmark steeped in ancient folklore. It’s here that he plans to tell them the full story about the events that took place which altered the course of all of their lives. Despite crippling mental health problems Dani Howell is making the effort to meet the old gang and find out the truth. As is Sian Arwell, a man troubled by his own hidden past. They’ll be joined by ex-serviceman Alex 'Cadi' Caddick, Michelin restaurateur Chrissy Hind, and sassy social influencer Evie Machintosh. But as well as Timmy’s unexpected request to rally the old tribe, a thought consuming all of them is whether movie megastar Ram Richards will complete their party. The most successful of the drama school alumni, Ram is enjoying a glittering Hollywood career, aided by his trusty writer Pryce Winters. But as a globetrotting red carpet-botherer it seems highly unlikely he’ll be able to meet them in a muddy field in Wales for the weekend. What nobody could have predicted, however, is that surrounded by beautiful borderland hills and dales, what could have been the perfect reunion quickly descends into sinister chaos. Will the trip provide the closure Timmy is looking for? Or will old wounds remain open? One thing is for sure, although rural Britain may look idyllic it can be a very unforgiving place.
