The Super Stoned
LOG LINE:
Based on actual events, this is the story of a group of stoner buddies who hot box a car before the latest superhero epic. Its high time this story was told.
SYNOPSIS:
Hardcore stoner buddies, Benji and Trey, are going strong on joint number two of their hot box session when Benji’s adoptive sister (and Trey’s crush) Wynonna unexpectedly arrives. Letting her in means letting out smoke, so only when she flashes a doobie of her own is Wynonna granted access to the car. Benji takes the sanctity of the hotbox very seriously. When their friends Pat, Joey and Mel arrive with medicated gummy bears they open the doors for the last time and make their way, super stoned, to their seats. As the movie finally begins, the fun is just getting started.

Brian Hogan is a Connecticut born gay filmmaker who always knew he wanted to be in show business. From the age of eight he was telling friends and family what he was going to do when he became rich and famous, and how he planned to change the world.
Brian worked as a missionary after graduating high school in 1997. He was stationed on a non-governmental hospital ship for three and a half years that traveled regularly between West Africa, South Africa and Western Europe. During his time overseas he visited over thirty countries, giving him a broad picture of the world as it truly is, not simply the way the American mainstream media would have us believe.
In 2002 Brian’s travels landed him at Oberlin College at age 23, where he pursued his love for film and TV, co-creating a multi-media production called Real World: Oberlin and directing numerous plays and short film projects. After college he moved to West Hollywood where he spent a few years writing screenplays at a Starbucks before switching gears and opening a Medical Marijuana Dispensery in 2010.
Seven years later in 2017 Brian returned to his natal ground of CT to attend a graduate film program at Sacred Heart University. During grad school Brian wrote and/or directed six short films, including The Super Stoned, created a web series and completed a feature screenplay that he began ten years earlier in a Los Angeles coffeehouse. That screenplay, Super Hoax, was selected as 1 of 20 Finalists out of 700 screenplay submissions at the Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival 2019.
Brian lives with his sister and her family in Stratford CT, and now manages the film school from which he just graduated as Valedictorian and Lamda Phi Eta Communications Honor’s Society Inductee. Brian is proud to be an alumni of Sacred Heart University's Film & Television Production Master's Program (FTMA).

TYLER'S BIO:
Tyler Stirling was born in Stamford CT in 1993 to Eileen and Scott Stirling. From an early age he was drawn to the television set often watching The Pagemaster on repeat until someone took it away from him. In high school he produced one movie for a film class and the dream of making more never left his mind.
Tyler graduated college from Salve Regina University with a degree in Psychology. After working in the hospitality field for 2 years he returned home to Easton, CT and was accepted into grad school at Sacred Heart University’s Film and Television Program (FTMA), where he hopes to make his dream a reality. While in film school Tyler earned a multitude of credits in a variety of positions from 1st AC to 1st AD, even acting in several of his cohort’s films.
Most notably, he was selected as the director of the first ever Open SHUtter film, highlighting the talents of Sacred Heart’s Theatre and SCMA departments.
The Super Stoned, although a light hearted stoner comedy, is based on a very true story about a group of our friends who went to see a super hero blockbuster together. Other than getting successfully stoned, things went very very wrong. Each character in our little story is based on a fellow film student, or in some cases a few students merged into one character. We had a very thick hotbox session, some personal drama, and perhaps worst of all, we had that one very very very late friend. Who was going to be left stuck running out to meet her with her ticket after the movie started? Hotboxing quickly turned into Hot Potato as each of us schemed how we’d make sure to not be the one stuck holding the bag.
Inspired by our mutual love of marijuana, superheroes, and movies Brian and Tyler got together to cultivate this story into the overblown stoner romp you have before you today. We hope you enjoy watching this film as much as we enjoyed living it.
Sincerely,
Brian Hogan & Tyler Stirling
