I approached Sunspark with a story-first attitude, making sure that the plot and characters were prioritized throughout the creative process. By exploring universal themes of selflessness, sacrifice, and renewal, Sunspark shows that it’s possible to live a life of quiet but meaningful connection in an otherwise inhospitable world.
The visual style intentionally mimics stop-motion animation by using realistic textures, handcrafted models, and cinematic lighting. I wanted the world of Sunspark to feel grounded even though it’s entirely computer animated.
Sunspark has been a multi-year passion project that I made entirely on my own to see how far I could push both my creative and technical skills. I hope viewers enjoy and connect with everything I put into this film.
