Sunshine and Winds of the East

Cyprus, early 20th century. Lucy Beausoleil arrives at her older sister's invitation. She anticipates to see exotic culture described in her favorite book but instead ends up locked up in her tight shoes, strict fashion and a mansion where her sister Viola and her husband Henry reside.

Quickly, Lucy starts to uncover tangled relationships within the house, all the while being marketed to Owen Oldgrey - a wealthy suitor looking for a obedient, young wife. Lucy is presented with the facts - her dowry is being sold so Henry can finance his habits and now it's not enough.

As the house becomes Lucy's cage, she finds escape in a local girl Elefteria, with whom she starts spending more and more time, to the dismay of Viola and Owen.

As this dynamic progresses, relationships become strained and soon Lucy has to make the choice - keep living the life others expect or define her own happiness.
