Rarai Masae Soca Wening Ati was born in Bandar Lampung on November 17, 1999. She began her artistic journey as a theater actor with Teater Satu Lampung, where she has been actively performing to this day. She has participated in both national and international theater productions. In 2017–2018, she joined a theater group in Salerno, Italy, called Teatro il Giullare while studying in Italy as part of the AFS cultural exchange program.
Throughout her theatrical journey, she also developed a deep appreciation for literature and became an active writer. Rarai won a national poetry competition at FLS2N and published an anthology of poems titled "Teman Kecil". She has also appeared several times as a guest speaker on Metro TV programs "Idenesia" and "Sudut Pandang" as a young poet.
Now, she is pursuing a career in filmmaking and is an alumna of Jogja Film Academy. She has worked as a writer, director, and assistant director in several short and feature films.
The director once faced failure in a romantic relationship, struggling to accept reality, which led to traumatic feelings and a distorted perception of reality. Fortunately, family and friends helped the director realize that one must confront uncomfortable emotions and choose healthier ways of thinking.
In society, especially among young people, love is often seen as the desire to possess and be possessed, particularly during adolescence when many are searching for a life partner. However, not all young people have the emotional maturity to understand love. The rise of social media, with its instant gratification, has lowered self-esteem and blurred the line between the virtual and real world, enabling behaviors like stalking and escapism.
If this issue is left unaddressed, deep trauma can lead to the development of erotomania, where the affected individual fails to recognize their delusional love disorder. Support from loved ones and professional help, such as therapy or medication, is essential. "Love is a Dog from Hell" explores the destructive nature of love driven by delusional feelings, depicting the mental disorder of erotomania.
