Hi, my name is Kelyn. I am an independent film director and writer from Maine.
I have been obsessed with telling stories my whole life, and film is my absolute passion. I'm very excited to be sharing my work.
"Stuck" is the culmination of what I've been trying to write for a while, a film about mental health, loneliness, and depression.
This film is a sad cautionary tale, and while sometimes it can be hard to hear such a story, it doesn't mean it's any less important to tell. "Stuck" is about that person we all know, the one that never accepts or talks about their sadness, they let it fester, grow, until something bad happens; the person that used to be me.
I want this film to spread awareness to anyone and everyone going through something tough, knows someone that is, or just needs be aware that people are going through this every day.
You deserve a full life, it's OK to hurt, and things can get better for you.
I am very proud of this film, considering my very limited budget and resources.
And I would like to extend a special thanks to Culann Gouveia, who's help was invaluable to this project.
