Director Statement

STOP BY ANYTIME explores the relationship of two old friends who are manipulated into bringing their dark secrets into the light. The trope of the “new girlfriend” as disruptor allowed me to twist this known motif, then flip it on its head. What if their shared “history” was more than a few war stories about ex-girlfriends and sexual conquest, but something much worse? The “bro code/cone of silence” dictates you keep things between boys, but what’s the fun in that? With a “less is more” approach, I chose to give only pieces of the puzzle, forcing the audience to put it together themselves. Enjoy that.
