Michael is an award winning filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor. Michael's award winning feature film No Footing enjoyed a successful festival run and now has over 100,000 views on YouTube. He produced the web series Living in 8 Bits that poked fun at the logic of retro video games which garnered a following online and at a conventions.
Michael has also served as a cinematographer and editor on many film projects for Cinevore Studios including the web series Moot and Nerd vs Geek as well as the multi-award winning short film Vessel. He also served as an editor on Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie and and director of photography on the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathons for 2013 and 2014.
In addition to films and series, Michael also has produced numerous music videos for the late Rich Cronin (formerly of LFO), MC Lars, and Honah Lee.
Michael is the Video Content Manager at the Philadelphia Phillies producing video content for the Phanavision Scoreboard, Phillies.com, Phillies Social Media, and Phillies TV Broadcasts.
STILL is a departure from the usual films I make. My style is mostly known for comedy (Living in 8 Bits, Moot, Nerd vs Geek) or sentimental dramedy (No Footing). I then was the DP and Editor on the short films Connie and Vessel, both of which were outside of my usual comfort zone. I was so happy with the look and style that I wanted to dive back into the thriller genre.
STILL was funded through ad revenue from our YouTube channel and sales from our Living in 8 Bits DVDs utilizing a talented pool of artists and actors in the Philadelphia region. I hope that you enjoy the film as much as we enjoyed making it! Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Michael Licisyn
