Sticky – The Bet
Sticky – The Bet was born out of a desire to blur the lines between dance, film, and storytelling. As a choreographer and movement director with over two decades of experience, I’ve always believed that dance is more than performance—it’s a visual language that can carry plot, emotion, and energy without the need for spoken words.
With Sticky – The Bet, I wanted to create a playful yet intense world where absurdity and elegance collide. The casino setting, the exaggerated pizza gag, and the contrast between calculated choreography and spontaneous chaos were all designed to challenge the audience’s expectations. It's a world where power moves aren’t just dance techniques—they’re strategies in a psychological game.
This production is also a love letter to my dancers, especially the younger performers who brought incredible discipline and creativity to each scene. Watching them embody character, rhythm, and story with such boldness was one of the most fulfilling parts of this project.
Sticky – The Bet is my way of showing that dance can be cinematic, humorous, layered, and suspenseful—all at once. It’s a short film that doesn’t just ask to be watched, but rewatched—because every movement is a clue, and the story isn’t over when the credits roll.
