Stevie Cavalier is a filmmaker and actor. Short films she directed have been selected by more than a dozen film festivals including the PBS Short Film Festival 2022. Her film "The Piñata" was awarded "Best of Fest" at the Topaz Film Festival 2020--presented by Dallas Women in Film. She was also awarded "Best Actress in a Short Film" by the Hollywood Divine Film Festival 2018. She has an MFA in Film Production from the University of New Orleans and taught film production at Tulane University for three years.
Stevie loves being a team player in the South's growing film industry! She is passionate about connecting with others through film, whether it be from in front of the camera or behind. Her goals include (but are not limited to) writing and directing a feature film, directing a film musical, working in children's entertainment, and developing an educational or summer camp program focused on film.
