Steep Town is a comedy web series about two friends struggling to survive in the steeply priced town they call home. Mary and Val have been good friends since their early 20's when they first moved to San Francisco in the days when queers and freaks could still afford to flock there. Years later, they reunite in a new San Francisco having emerged from their Saturn returns, and find themselves worse off than before.
We are submitting episode three of a six episode series.

We set out to tell stories from our experience living and coming of age in San Francisco in the 2000’s as queer feminist women. Every story is told through that lens and is satirical commentary on various themes like gentrification in San Francisco, straight cis men and couples, poly relationships, the tech take over, online dating, getting by, boundaries, and even wedding engagements. Our characters are played by real people from the San Francisco community; queer, trans, and straight people including local comedians and musicians. We started writing this in 2017 and it’s been a labor of love. We'd love to screen one episode or the whole series. We hope you enjoy Steep Town!
Love,
Alexa, Olivia, and Kim
