Memories and events from the Dakota voyage... Operators, crew members, engineers, scholars. A legendary Greek aviator who flew the 622 in the Korean War. A name that was closely associated with the modern war history of our country, but also with his ongoing actions for safer flights in civil aviation.

Director Biography - Dimitris Chatzimalis

Dimitris Chatzimallis was born in Germany and grew up in Eleftheroupoli - Kavala, Greece. He studied television and cinema in Thessaloniki, where he worked for several years.

He has collaborated with television stations of nationwide scope and with international satellite networks, in television productions and broadcasts but also in journalism. In recent years he has been working for television stations in Kavala and has participated in dozens of television productions and broadcasts, as an editor and TV director. Among other things, he directed speeches of political leaders as well as directed the matches of the Greek finals of the “League of Legends” tournament.

He directed the award-winning historical documentary series (2 seasons) " Wings of the Great War", and received a special honorable mention in thematic historical festivals for the telefilm " Wings of the Great War - Macedonian Skies Ablaze". In 2022, he directed a historical documentary again. "Steel History" evokes memories of glorious times when men and machines united for a purpose. He currently works on a new folklore-historical series of ERT "In a New Homeland", a series that will move everyone!
