Its been a long journey but we are happy to announce that our 100% independent feature film entitled Stealing Vows is finally done and ready for screening!
This film was more than a passion project. It was designed to create opportunity for a wonderfully talented group of South Asian actors, producers, director and crew (likely the most diverse crew you will ever see!) where there was no opportunity.
We were told by numerous industry executives that it was impossible to do this film on a self raised 250K budget but we did it. Even with a pandemic being dropped on our heads in the midst of filming (which ate 22% of the budget) we found a way...with the help of our South Asian community, families and friends, we pulled it off and I couldn't be prouder.
Based on actual incidences, Stealing Vows is a fun 2 hour heist film set in the heart of the South Asian wedding industry. Four wedding vendors (a photographer, an emcee, a caterer and a decorator) embark on a summer heist spree, robbing their wealthy clients homes (during the wedding receptions) in hopes of buying their own happily ever afters.
