As a neurodiverse director born into a working class background, Stacey Cochran was the first in his family to earn a Ph.D. (University of Arizona, 2022). Probably best known as the author of the novel Eddie & Sunny, a story of a couple and their two kids trying to break the cycle of poverty, Stacey co-wrote the screenplay that was adapted into a feature-length film starring Gabriel Luna (HBO's The Last of Us; Terminator: Dark Fate) and Joanna Vanderham (Cinemax's Warrior).

Summerhaven: the Series marks Stacey's directorial debut. The pilot episode was awarded Best of Arizona Film on May 1, 2023 at the 31st annual Arizona International Film Festival in its first festival submission and official selection.
