Spawn: Rebirth
Betrayed and hunted across collapsing realms by Heaven, Hell, and forces older than creation itself, Spawn uncovers a brutal truth: he is not merely a resurrected soldier bound to dark power, but a living fragment of a primordial force capable of tearing reality itself apart. Driven through relentless and violent trials by a calculating hell‑prince, Spawn is manipulated into the center of a cosmic war where angels seek to erase him, demons seek to enslave him, and forgotten gods see him as a catalyst for annihilation.
As his memories fracture and his body becomes a battleground for escalating, uncontrollable power, Spawn struggles to cling to the last remnants of his humanity while the line between man and god dissolves. Every step toward freedom pushes the universe closer to collapse—and the final truth is the most terrifying of all: if Spawn fully awakens, he won’t just break his chains… he may end everything.

I wrote this film in a moment of pure fantasy. Spawn: Rebirth is my teenage dream world answer to the question of "what happened to Al Simmons after the events of the Spawn (1997) Movie?" and "Where could the story have taken us?" I didn't find out till after a bit of research that the actor, Michael Jae White is still a big fan of the franchise, and was an avid Spawn Comic fan himself. Even though, Todd seemed to have hated the movie. I tried to incorporate all the things I loved about the personality of Michael Jae White’s Al Simmons and create a synergy of the Canon Spawn that Todd originally created, along with a novel idea in the story that allows for a continuation of the story from 1997 and catches it up to now. Providing ample room for growth, by introducing a few new characters from Todd's canon story and adding some of my own. I felt like this was the best way to try to appease both my own curiosities, fantasies, Todd's original desire for a canon-first film, and both the old and new generation of Spawn fans in between. Hopefully I achieved that goal. Todd would probably never approve such a project, but I hope reading this screenplay takes you back to that world we all loved so many years ago.
