Dontae Hill is an emerging visual artist, producer, screenwriter, and International Award-winning filmmaker whose works have been exhibited in prominent exhibitions. Born in Alabama 1992, Hill relocated to Ohio and began his artistic career after gaining interest and garnering lead roles in plays. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree he began acting for award
winning cinematographers and major production companies such as AGBO Films and Warner Bros. Dontae is the founder of the Cleveland Filmmakers Association; through which he wrote, produced, and directed the films Mississippi: 1968, BLACK, and Raw: Basquiat. His films explore the dynamic practice of art activism by placing a spotlight on power structures, wealth versus poverty, and racism.
